I have a 1997 TF 3L V6 manual
I get around the low 7's per 100km on the highway and mid 9's in stop start city stuff.
Currently on my work run, I'm doing 8.2L/100km, which isn't bad considering the mix of conditions and my sometimes lack of care of fuel economy![]()
Has a K&N filter in the stock box and a modified rear muffler (6g72's sound awesome!)
I've also only used 95 fuel in her since i purchased her. I don't trust e10.
Best i've had was 918 km's, all highway driving.
Just wondering on the subject of TL/W's using more fuel than TJ's, what about the styling? The TE magna was one of the most aerodynamic aussie cars with 0.28cd rating. I'm not sure how far this was carried through the models, but I'm guessing that the TJ still has most of the aero because of it's minor facelift. The TL/W has a different face on it and is rated high in fuel consumption than the TJ. Could that be the cause?
